When I finally got around to cutting the side hole out, I started at the edges with the dremel to prepare a place to start for the jigsaw. Unfortunately, I lost the jig blades I had just got, so I just went with the dremel for the whole job.
Finally, I got that bastid cut out, it took about 8 reinforced dremel cutoff wheels, and I cleaned it up with the diamond wheel, I'll go back and file and sand the edges better when I go to sand the whole case.
And completely sanded:
And painted Gloss Yellow with Satin Clearcoat (2 coats primer, about 5 coats yellow, 3 clearcoat). I use Satin Clearcoat instead of Gloss because it protects the paint from scratches and gives it a nice sheen, but without being so shiny you need to polish it everytime you touch it (much less fingerprinting).
And I primered and painted the frame with Flat Krylon Black paint:
