I wanted to mate this tubing with the copper sheet, so some surface finishing was in order.

I set a sheet of 320 grit sandpaper on a table and started to lap the surface of the copper tubing, to make one side flatter and hence, bond better with the copper sheet. If you don't know what lapping is, check here for my Celeron lapping experiences.

Its a little hard to see, but I sanded one side flat almost until I broke through to the inside diameter of the tubing.

Then I cut out an appropriately-sized square of copper sheeting and also roughed up its surface a little bit with the 320-grit.

Then I drilled holes just to the inside of where the tube will go when affixed to the underside of the copper sheet. These holes will be used for securing the screws that hold the mosfets in place.
