Again, I put it all together and kindof just shoved the hard drive in there. Only this time it fit.



I guess it should be noted that when I got this, it was also missing the hard drive sled.
So to keep the drive stable, I cut up this plastic thingy used for shipping hard drives, its underside clearance was perfect, and the sides only needed to be shaved down to keep the drive in the middle.



Then I wedged in some pink packing foam ripped to the desired sizes to muffle the sound and keep it stable.



I know this will probably upset some of you sgi die-hards, but its my damn hardware, and I'll do what I want to it.

I've been thinking about making my own sled out of wood or something, I have one I can borrow to get specs and dimensions.
If it would be easier to just buy one, I'll entertain offers, but I'm not looking to spend more than 35-40 bucks for one.
